Workshops 2010

Colinette Yarns is pleased to be offering a whole new set of workshops for 2010. We have more space on the ground floor here in Llanfair Wales so making a mess is allowed too.

Inspiration, Inspiration and bags full of fun

Whilst our aim is to help you all on your textile journey we feel that, along the way, there must be a good helping of fun, laughs, great food (perhaps some wine) and fantastic new things to learn. So with lots of enthusiasm, the Colinette team welcomes you to join us in what we assure you will be days of inspiration. Among the tutors to bring their textile world to you and to help nurture your creative talent, we have Pat Cooper from Devine desgins.

Not only does Pat run her own shop but also creates beautiful finished items, kits and runs workshops accross the country that are always a huge success. What the Colinette team love about Pat's approach is that not only are her ideas skillfully realised but they are also show a freedom of creation that turns the ordinary on its head.

Other techniques Pat uses and will be teaching later in the year are carefully felted and overlayed yarns that are then embroidered over in varying degrees of rigidity and fluidity.

Staying Over

As you can image we often get asked for recomendations on where to stay. Being placed in the beautiful Welsh hills we are often suprised how far fellow creatives come, so please feel free to phone us on 01938810128 if you wish us to help organise accommodation. Those who do stay over really can enjoy the workshops and savour a little bit of the local countryside.
